Thank you for the comment Emmanuelle. There are two points here:
1. As I’ve mentioned, this technique cannot be applied to every book (I put forth the book how the mind works) for instance.

2. This reading method is not binging at all. If you are to use the memory palace technique, this would imply that you have to pause periodically and reflect on you what you have read and organized them into your memory palace. That’s what I do.

Otherwise, I would not differentiate the usefulness of such a method with a banality such as watching a TV show.
