I think the essence of a good enough why is for it to jibe with your core values.
The problem setting monetary goals is that money is a mean to a deeper value, not the value itself.

It seems to me that you have pierced through the surface (money) and reached to your core, to what you value, to what the money can bring you (value time with family).
